Have you ever wondered how many victims of human trafficking there are in North Macedonia, and how many in the surrounding countries? How do we fight this form of organized crime here, and how do our neighbors handle it? Who is responsible for the formal identification of trafficking victims, and what is the access to justice like for these victims?
In collaboration with partner organizations from Serbia (ASTRA) and Albania (VATRA Psycho-Social Center), we have explored these and other questions, bringing you important findings and data we have collectively gathered.
The Info Briefs offer comparable data and insights regarding human trafficking, highlighting each country’s efforts in combating and prosecuting this crime. They will serve as a strong foundation for further political actions and will be instrumental in advancing our project activities, particularly in lobbying and demonstrating the project’s impact.
The Info Briefs were developed within the SPOT-ON! Project – State Accountability for Trafficking Prosecution OFF/ON! – supported as a regional grant and part of the “SMART Balkans – Civil Society for a Connected Western Balkans” project, implemented by the Center for Civil Society Promotion (CPCD), the Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM), and the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM), financially supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA).
